These disturbing photos were taken with phonecam by WD after a big night out. Sitting on the edge of the bed, pondering if it was safe to lay my head down on the pillow, or if I needed to remain vertical just a bit longer. As I sat there reviewing the events of the night in my head, I noticed strange and demonic patterns appearing on the curtains in the room I was staying. The actual location will remain closely guarded secret for fear of Christian Fundamentalist reprisals. Those of you who recognise these curtains will know where they exist. Keep the secret safe, for the good of all that is holy and sacred.
Let me tell you, it’s was quite freaky at 4.12am in the morning when these images leapt out at me from what had once been merely simple bedroom curtains, but will now forever henceforth be known as DEMONIC…

The Original Emo’s. Before It Was Cool 2 Cut
The self loathing, sad sack, pathetic goth wannabe, emo try-hards that frequent a supermarket razor blade aisle near you would do well to study these guys hard and see what they COULD become… if only they had talent and drive and… actually…any emo’s reading this.. forget it… you’ll never be as good as Bobby and the boys… why not do us ALL a favour and just end… anyway, I didn’t mean to lose all touch with punctuation, or sentence structure, but it’s working OK so far, so I’m gonna run with it for the rest of this… and before I digress any further and draw away from the awesome force that is THE CURE…

Ever Heard Of Just Going AROUND !!!
Right from the first frame you just KNOW this is going to end badly. But I give due credit the morons errr.. I mean producers, they did use editing to build the suspense nicely. There are many questions, most of which can be answered with the simple phrase "Just go around…"
I do take points OFF the producers however for choosing the "punchline" to be the thumbnail-frame for the video. I use this same service for some of my videos and unlike YouTube, they let you choose what frame from the video to use as the thumbnail. These clown-dacks either didn’t bother to change the auto setting (which is a random frame, half way through the video), or even worse they chose to use the punchline as the thumbnail. Either way, it’s the equivalent of the movie posters for Empire Strikes Back showing the scene from the end with the captioning "Luke… I AM your Father…"
As funny as this is, it’s also part of the reason why insurance premiums continue to rise. Often when these things end badly, it’s VERY badly for the individual at the centre of the action. Like this guy. These incidents get filed under the category of "Nature taking care of it’s own problem". However the guy in this 4WD video lived and was well enough to be home filling out the insurance forms that night.

Russian Helicopter Flies Without Turning Rotor ?
Or does it ?
Watch the video and decide for yourself if this is some new form of Soviet levitation aviation, or merely a clever effect created by syncing the FPS rate of the camera to the rotational speed of the helicopters blades.
Either way, it looks cool…

VOTD: Tornado May 4th 2007 Ellis County
Wow… not bad. Guy is yelling a bit too much.
But I guess I probably would too if I was there taking that video.
My favourite part is at about 1m 30s when he pans up and shows the whole thing. Granted, it’s not one of those giant big "black" tornadoes that rips buildings apart and flips cars across the road. But spectacular none the less.
This was taken on the same day when a giant
F5 tornado levelled the town of Greensburg in Kansas.

WD Is Retiring From Work Early
Unless you’ve ever registered an internet domain name it unlikely you’ve ever come across ICANN. They’re the body charged with overseeing the hand out of internet domain names in the TLD’s of .com, .net, .org etc… Whenever you register a domain name in one of these TLD’s you pay an ICANN fee as part of the domain registration process. No biggie. It’s not much money. As you’re about to find out.
So anyway, I was over at my favourite domain register GoDaddy last week registering a couple of domains and I noticed there was a CREDIT on my account for USD$0.09… nine whole cents.
Turns out that there was some changes to the ICANN fees and I got back three cents for each effected domain I have registered. Now I did think about investment strategies for some time. I called my broker. I called Donald Trump. I called George Bush. They all said the same thing. "Boy… you’ve got to SPEND money to MAKE money…" So as you can see, I immediately reinvested the USD$0.09 refund on the purchase of a new domain for a new site I’m working on.
Thanks GoDaddy. Thanks ICANN.
You’ve made it all possible…
