Instant Ice ??? Yeah… I’m Not So Sure…

This video proclaims to demonstrate the production of instant-ice using noting more than common household items. Have a look for yourself.

I‘m guessing that the liquid in the glass is less than pure H2O to begin with. I’m guessing it’s more likely a super saturated solution of sodium acetate than just regular tap water. The tiny amount of salt he puts in would hardly alter the amount already present in tap water. Nor would the addition of salt aid in the expulsion of heat from water. Unlike the exothermic reactions possible with a sssa solution.

Observe…   (the straw and salt are for smoke-and-mirrors, distraction effect only)

I‘m not putting that "ice" anywhere near my glass of 12yo single malt scotch

INSANE RC Helicopter Flying, Just INSANE !!!

OK… so you will go "WHOLLY COW….!!!" within the first minute of this video. It’s impossible not to. We’ve brought you helicopter articles before here on WD, but nothing will prepare you for THIS. You KNOW this RC helicopter is super hard-core when you hear it start up. It sounds like a real one the way the engine whines to life. But the instant it takes to the air, any and all shreds of reality go flying out the window. I don’t have any details about the specs or the type or any of that techno guff. I just know that if ANY real helicopter I’m in EVER does ANYTHING resembling the things the RC one in this video does, then I’m asking for a refund.

As awesomely spectacular as the RC helicopter itself is, you have to hand it to the "pilot" driving the thing. AMAZING skills I think best describes the way he manoeuvres the craft about.  If you think I’m building this up too much… just watch and judge for yourself. New Super Motor…?   Vote #1 Super Motor…

Australia Destroys Amercian Samoa 31 - 0

Bet the Socceroo’s would LOVE to get a score line anywhere NEAR this distant memory right about now. A nice video with some dry witty commentary to round out the farce that was Australia playing these Pacific Island nations in order to qualify for the Football World Cup.

Have to say though…
I think if I lived HERE then I wouldn’t be
overlystressed about losing a game of soccer either.

A Glow In The Dark Martini Mixer

Previously here at WD we brought you the golf-ball episode of Will It Blend. Today we have a special and spectacular double dose of WIB.  Our first contestant is the venerable JesusPhone from Apple. At a cost of US$600 this is definitely NOT something you’d want to try at home.  I really enjoy watching this over and over. Makes up for the saturation coverage this half-baked device has been receiving.

Next we have a solution for those nights when you’ve been out drinking and you get home and find yourself fumbling about in the dark for the house keys (assuming you’re allowed back in the house).

Sulphur Hexaflouride: The Barry White Gas

It’s colourless, odourless, non-toxic, and non-flammable. Just like tofu. And much like tofu, Sulphur Hexaflouride gas is also six times denser than air which means it can be stored happily in open containers without escaping. We’ve all seen the crazy helium voices people can make when sucking in lungfuls of that inert gas.  Have you ever wondered if there was such a thing as anti-helium ?  Well according to the anti-periodic table there is no elemental gas that meets the requirements, however the molecular gas sulphur hexafluoride DOES fit the bill nicely.  Observe…

Now with the help of sulphur hexaflouride, or SF6 as he’s known to his friends,  you can sound just like soul legend Barry White at a moments notice. Sure to impress the ladies… or have them running onto the streets in fear, it’s all good.

WWW = Worlds Worst Wesbite Designs

Now we’re not saying that WD is going to win a Web 2.0 design award, but our layout is clean and simple, content is orderly and easy to find. WD scales well across different monitor widths, and plays nicely with modern browsers.  All in all, we like to think that WD is a "nice" site to visit.  Then you come across sites out there like these:

I Think Jebus Has Been Taking Acid

This is actually one time that I recommend you view the sites using the INTERNET EXPLORER browser in order to get the full effect of the awfulness. I tried it with Firefox, and then again with Internet Explorer. It’s even MORE of an experience.  Try it for yourself.

These web designers need a trip to the knackery. And don’t forget to SCROLL RIGHT

Prepare to be dazzled by Mia… and nauseous at the same time.

But it’s just terrible and qualifies for this list. Cheesey music included.

This site will make you car-sick and possibly give you epilepsy.
Warning - contains links to girls with boobies.

Proof that a trailer-park lifestyle involves marrying your cousin/sister.

C’mon dude…there’s bad… and then there is not even trying.

Even free ugly… is still ugly.

This guy should ask for a refund from his X dealer. Clearly a bad batch.

Can only hope he forgives the designers of this website.

Do you have examples of TRULY awful website designs. Let us know. Send a link to wdcontent@timdotnet.net or leave a comment.

Would You Hire This Guy As Your Lawyer ?

The law firm of Brady, Connolly & Masuda - Attorneys At Law in Chicago, Illinois has a company website. Nothing unusual there. On that website they have professional bio’s of the attorneys that work there. Nothing unusual there either.

Normally when a company creates such a profile they will use a picture that does justice to the individual involved. Something flattering. Something that inspires confidence with potential customers. All sounds good right ?   Well apparently something slipped through the cracks over at Brady, Connolly & Masuda that leave us asking the question…

Your honour.. if it pleases the court I'd like to plead INSANITY !!!

Would you hire Michael Brandow to represent YOU in court
