Sunday Afternoon Low Tide Beach Pics

Just a couple of quick "panoroma" pics I took with the trusty
phonecam on my sunny sunny Sunday afternoon beach walk.

A fairly low tide today (0.83m).
I’ve seen this beach at tides under 0.20m and as high as 3.40m
Needless to say, completely different animals…

NOTE: Shortly after the taking of these photo’s, in Part One of Nature-Day-At-The-Beach, Wiggum Daily was viciously and repeatedly (twice ) stung on the hand by a European Wasp that decided to fly into the pocket where I keep the phonecam between shoots. See what I do for you guys.

Worlds Scariest Billboard

So I’m out doing regular Saturday afternoon things about town and walking back to the WD Mobile with my bounty from the hardware mega-store.  I turn a corner and THIS jumps out at me. If you think this picture is scary, then let me tell you it’s NOTHING compared to being in the presence of this… this… THING.

Don't DO IT man...

And this is not a small sign. It’s a good 4-5m high and 10-12m across. But you want to know the SCARIEST part of all… There’s another one, just like it, facing the other direction, presumably to scare the same highway commuters as they return home each night. As if they didn’t have enough to deal with already.

You can click HERE to view the actual location of WSB in Google Maps.  So you’ll know where NOT to go. You can see it just above the centre, above the redish dirt, and the white walking path. That’s it, casting it’s evil shadow as it points out towards the unsuspecting traffic.  And if you’re feeling extra brave you can click on the image above to view the GIANT version. Go on.. I dare you.

Another Autumn Saturday Afternoon

Another awesome day for an afternoon beach walk and to snap some
phonecam pics to slowly simmer over the electronic stove,
into a panorama pic for the WD readers to view.

Hope you enjoy it. As always, click to view larger version.
The same stretch of coast line, but a different beach to last weeks pics.
